auto accident attorney
Rosanna M asked:

My neighbor had an attorney for a car accident (other driver’s fault), the attorney never called him to advise where to go for physical therapy regards the accident, 4 months have gone by, my neighbor does suffer from the accident itself, he received a letter from attorney saying they didn’t want case anymore – now I’m trying to find him a new attorney. Any thoughts or suggestions, Long Beach area? It’s not fair as he’s a very honest guy.

I hired an attorney for an auto accident I was in and he has done nothing in 3 months can I get another without having to pay him for nothing?

Yes. Let the attorney know he is fired and that you want the file. However, your assumption that he has done nothing may be wrong. Attorneys obtain and review records and have informal contacts with insurers and all sorts of things without you being aware of it. If the attorney has indeed worked on the case and then is fired, he may be entitled to a reasonable fee for his work. Instead of just firing the person, consider setting an appointment for a status conference.
