i got a dwi and im going to do 4 weekends in jail. i need to get my occupational drivers license so i can go to and from work,daycare,grocery store and etc. do i need my lawyer to handle this or can i do this one on my own?im a single parent and money is very tight. he’s charging me $500 to get the occupational license. is this worth it? thanks!

It’s not overcharging but whether it’s worth it for you to pay the money is a question only you can answer.
The question you really need to ask yourself is, WHY did you drink and drive? Was THAT worth it??
Driving under the influence is a cardinal sin of the road. I’m not sure you should be entitled to an occupational license.
Why would you even think that you are entitled
to any type of Drivers License…
Driving is a priviledge granted by the State,
it is not a right.
Sure hope they don’t give it to you.
Since you don’t seem to even care about
other Drivers on the road…
You probably won’t even be able to pay your
Car Insurance rates after this.
Best get used to taking the Bus or bumming rides.
Know people that have been doing it for years…
