It only takes a split second to KILL somebody on the road and then you would be looking at manslaughter (definitely PRISON time) and if you have an accident under the influnce of any mind altering substance and someone just gets injured, it is a FELONY. I would be more worried about this than having to hire a lawyer. After all it is a lawyers livelyhood so more that likely any lawyer will tell you that you need one.
