I got a DWI last night. My BAC was .08 and that is the limit in Minnesota. When I asked for a blood test the agency said that they would not provide that. I would have to pay to be transported to a different city. Can they do that? Should I get a lawyer?

You should get an attorney because they can get charges like yours reduced to a lesser offense and you will not end up with a DWI on your driving record.~
Get a lawyer and get it expunged from your record…
.08 is the limit, so I do not understand why you got arrested.
Yes, get a lawyer. Also, did they read you your rights? Did you sign to it?
yes get a lawyer
If its your first one, no, its a waste. Just make sure you get in any programs you can. I know pa has the ARD program for first time offenders and you basically get a slap on the wrist and have to pay some fines.
Sure, pay for a lawyer. It helps sometimes. The breath test is all they need to convict you. I think the reason they wouldn’t give you a blood test is because by the time you arrived at the other city, your BAC would be under .08. They caught you over the limit, and so another test would’ve been redundant.
Try getting advice from a professional, they should know the ins and out of Virginia law by heart.
I would try
