3.5k is nothing. Tell them you will settle for nothing less than 10k.
Have them pay for medical expenses. Anything else is greed. Be a role model.
Depends whose fault the accident was.
If you’re not going to hire an attorney, good luck getting anything.
Accident would be a key word to consider here. People don’t have to sue for everything that happens to them.
Go for 50 thousand.
3500$ isn’t enough for anything these days.
no stick nose where it do not belongs but she maybe call to judge judy court and and she sue there for injury nose. See on televisions, make popcorn, big show, big show.
Before you go hiring an attorney, wait and see what you are offered first. If you hire an attorney, you are looking at giving up 40% of the settlement plus expenses(that’s the norm in my state). Most of the time you can count on getting 2 times the medical expenses. The insurance adjusters do know when you are just running out running up doctor bills for no reason other than to run up costs for a settlement offer and so do the doctors.
Another thing to look at is the fact that the money is coming from somewhere. It is not just free money. If you caused an accident, would you want someone trying to gouge your insurance carrier for your limits over a minor accident? I am not trying to make light of your dauther’s accident, but nose bleeds are not that serious. Just thank God she is alive and has no broken bones. She missed a holiday and such. Did she miss any work? Does she have children to support and missed income? That is what the court looks at when you sue someone.
One other question to ask yourself, was your daughter at all contributory in the accident; i.e., did she have a seat belt on? How did she hit her nose or face with such force to cause a nose bleed to last on and off for two months? Is it a law in your state that you have to wear a seat belt? Just some thoughts before you start asking for the moon.
