Person who is out on 4 years probation and just 1 week off of house arrest is picked up for DUI. What happens

This person spent 6 months in jail for breaking and entering and then 4 months on house arrest. Just 1 week later is picked up for DUI, drug possession with intent to sell, etc. What could any attorney possibly do at this point for that person?

Let him go to jail.
He didnt learn his leason the first time so he will get
what he deserves.
Not much, I’m afraid. It sounds to me like this person really needs to be behind bars!

That person would be lucky not to have the probation revoked which would then have him serve the remainder of the 4 yrs in jail. Plus the new charges could also end him up in jail. An attorney could possibly get a lighter sentence, but it would be costly.
He’d probably go back to jail for not learning his lesson the first time. And honestly, he should, he could have killed someone.
The only thing the attorney can do is try to reduce the jail time that will be received for breaking probation. The attorney can try to have a rehab center lined up for him when he gates out of jail.
Some people in life never hit their bottom to recover from themselves. This person has a death wish and the only thing law enforcement can do is contain him to limit the damage he can do to others.
More jail time can be a blessing in disguise.
Get him to go to rehab. At least it shows he’s trying.
say your goodbyes now, this guy is going back to jail. The attorney will try to get a reduced jail time but thats all your getting. Should of learned the lesson the first time in jail!!!
Beg for rehab in court. have him tell the judge 3 things he has accomlished since he’s been out. If he has been in N/A and fell off the wagon.
they normally don’t revoke until the 3rd offence, However its up to the probation officer if it even goes to court, so have his mom contact the PO and talk to him first before a court date is set, and the PO can order rehabilitation, but he must follow through. or next time, these charges will be brought up in court for his next offence, if he does go to court, make sure that family writes letters on his behalf and the pastor couldn’t hurt, then be there in court to support him. He was lucky he didn’t spend longer time in prison the first time.
Edit: Someone gave me a thumbs down? I’ve been through this with a family member, the PO and court, and this was the advice the lawyer gave me…and it worked, and the rehab worked for him also, so everyone got what they needed.
You would be suprised what defense attorney’s can come up with! They will blame anyone and everyone, except the suspect.
Hopefully they will violate his parole and send him back to jail.
