So i was hit by a habitual (4th offense) drunk driver, in a company car, at midnight a week or so ago. He was cited for failure to yield at an intersection, and DUI, which is now his 4th offense. I have been diagnosed with a herniated disc in my back and am undergoing medical treatment as well for a soft tissue injury to my knee resulting from the collision. I’m really just happy to be alive…however…

I don’t usually like the idea of attorneys, but I feel like this guy should be off the road, and that my frustration, injury, and vehicle deserve some sort of compensation for the shear negligence of the other motorist. He is insured.

Is it worth my time to seek an attorney? If so, will they help with the medical expenses and compensation for the incident? Thanks.

Accident was not my fault and insurance has paid all the bills so far – the check is for $750.00. Not really sure what to do with it, my attorney has not settled yet so I am confused. What gives?
