PA stands for Private Attorney.
The PA designation can also be for a physician assistant credential – if he practices in personal injury or medical malpractice, a great many lawyers have a medical background in addition to their law degrees. Ask him – I’ve been in law for 25 years and have never seen any lawyer call him/herself a private attorney.
PA means Professional Association
